I visited my brother who lives in Roundhay with my Mum and we walked to the Mansion for lunch. We hadn't booked but it wasn't a problem and we were quickly taken to our table by a very friendly waiter. To start my mum and I had a sharing platter which was different artisan breads with some olives, houmous, sun dried tomatoes and oil and vinegar in small pots, very enjoyable and my brother got the carrot soup of the day which looked yummy. To follow we all had salad Nicoise which was delightful. Nice portion size and very tasty. It isn't a cheap lunch, it was £13.50 for the salad although there are sandwiches and brunch options available. We also got a bottle of the house Merlot which was very nice and it was £22. Staff were lovely and it had a nice atmosphere. I noticed they do theme style evenings such as Opera and Spanish guitar, would definitely like to come back to one of these evenings. All in all it was a really lovely lunch, would definitely go back. The setting in Roundhay Park itself is just lovely, they have weddings here and you can see why, very impressive
