“A good way to fill half a day or more”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

The displays are well presented and very informative. We met very pleasant and knowledgeable staff around the different areas, and those involved in animations were excellent and developed good rapport with spectators/audience.
The Nelson Bistro on the ground floor has a restricted menu, but the pasta dish and burger dish were excellent. Meal for two with drinks for less than £20.

Just go and enjoy this place. As it is free you really have nothing to lose. The cafe is good as well.

“Dependent on interests”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We went hear when my Dad came to visit. He seemed to really enjoy it but he loves his history, especially battles and war history. The museum was informative and seemed like there was a lot their for all the family. It is not somewhere I would choose to go if I wasn't with people interested in Armouries.

“Great for all”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

A really good museum with lots of sharp and pointy stuff. Loads of free events during the day. The crossbow range upstairs is fun. Pay more to see the jousting but it is well worth it. Loads of kids at times but if you want to avoid that then go on non school holiday times.
