Stayed here for a couple of days while at the University on business.
Everything you need for a couple of days. Rooms are large enough, with enough facilities to be comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Ate in restaurant, food was OK. Free breakfast buffet was fine with strong coffee and hot food.
Can't really fault it at this price.

Just came back from an overnight at the Holiday Inn, and I would definitely return . The rooms, reception, dining area were all spotless . The beds were comfy and you get a complimentary breakfast in the morning . No complaints whatsoever . Also reasonably central for the city and the Leeds arena where we were going

To be fair this should get 3.5 stars. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly (and smiling!) and the food was, on the whole, good and served promptly.

I have a slight quibble in that my room was one with a connecting door and this does allow some sound intrusion from the next room. The occupants were not being overly noisy, just chatting at a normal level, but I could follow nearly every word they said. Obviously, this diminished when the television was turned on. It was not enough to be annoying, but if you are in one of those rooms it might be something to be aware of.

The other factor that stops this getting a 4 star review from me is that they apparently are about to have a menu change and this limited the menu choice from that advertised. This was fully explained by the staff but when there is only one dessert on offer and the second night even that could not be fully served (run out of chocolate sauce?) it starts to get a trifle farcical. The food that I had, though, was perfectly acceptable (apart from the chicken wing starter), and for me they score heavily with their breakfast option to go for continental style: good for those of us who prefer a lighter breakfast.

These are really minor quibbles and applied only to the circumstances in this visit. I would have no hesitation in staying in the hotel again, when I am sure it would reach the four stars.

Room Tip: Ask for one without a connecting door

Thank you for the review and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and would return. You will be pleased to know we have the new menu fully in operation now so all items would be available to you. I am sorry that the changeover time slightly marred your stay with us though.

Thank you
