Stayed here for 2 nights on DBB rate of £95 a night arriving on a Friday night from Kings Cross London to Leeds. Easy walk from railway station to hotel, just a few minutes no bother.

Check was unexpectedly quiet at 6.30 on a Friday night. All was in order and allocated room on 6th floor over looking Briggate. Room was above average size, a bit bigger than the Leeds Hilton rooms but not as big as Mint rooms. Bathroom fairly basic, very small amount of toiletries and toilet roll holder in odd location near the floor - hard to reach !!! Flat screen tv and touch sensitive minibar also tea & coffee making facilities with biscuits.

Bed was very nice & clean, good linens & pillows. Great blackout blinds and velro fastenings on the wall sides to ensure very little light gets in. Overall good room exactly what you would want. Could not hear other rooms tv and no noise from outside - perhaps being on 6th floor helps.

Had dinner in John T's restaurant as part of deal on first night - average food and not too badly priced but as rate included £20 a head - we only had to pay for the drinks so cheap night. Breakfast is also served in the John T's room which quite frankly is a bit soulless and not very atmospheric when you look around and see how nice the lobby area & general areas are. Breakfast was good, however as all the breakfast items are already cooked they were not exactly piping hot - but acceptable except for the tinned tomatoes - bad.....as was the tea it was like p**s, sorry !!!! Could it be the water or cheap tea bags ?? Had coffee on the second morning which was much better Plenty of cereals/ fruit/pastries/ rolls / cold meats & (dry curling) cheese so a pretty good selection all in.

Checkout on Sunday was fine, bill correct & Marriott rewards points added to my account. Would stay again but would depend on price as there are lots of city center hotels in Leeds vying for business.

Stayed there for one night. Paid £40 extra to upgrade to executive room with use of the executive lounge. Had free beverages all day so were able to pop back from shopping for a coffee. Buffet in the evening and breakfast - was worth doing. Would stay again great hotel!

We are a party of six who stayed at the Leeds Marriott for the weekend from 7 - 9 October 2011. Unfortunately I didn't think to get the names of staff but have to say they were all great, from the reception to the concierge, the bar staff, the lady who cleaned our rooms and particularly our charming waiter on the Sunday morning who kept us well stocked with tea and coffee and cleared our table very promptly. The rooms were lovely, the beds the comfiest we've slept in, the breakfast impressive and the whole experience was excellent. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of Leeds and so close to everything!

There isn't a hotel car park, but close by there is an NCP - not cheap but 4 of our party parked there and found it very acceptable.

I have never stayed in a disgusting 4* hotel and never previously felt compelled to provide feedback on trip adviser, until we encountered this hell hole. Do not stay here! We picked this hotel over the radisson blu in central Leeds because we were informed they had their own car park. Not the case. Upon arrival the location looked good and suited us, and we were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room which we agreed to.

Upon arrival to our 'executive room' we were severly disappointed. The room was dated, the bathroom was mouldy, with a seriously scratched up sink and dirty taps, the kettle was faulty and burnt my husbands hand. The worst part was a blood stained piece of card on our pillow in the shape of a razor blade.

After calling the duty manager, who apologised that the room was not up to 'our standards' they moved us to a different room. This also had mould in the bathroom, no faulty kettle but a shower with a terrible leak. We had to run off to a meeting but returned to the hotel ready to rest to find a noisy nightclub right outside the window. We called reception who provided us with some cotton wool but even with this in our ears we could still hear all the noise! At 2.00am and no sleep after a 5 hour drive and a 5 hour drive ahead of us we had no option but to leave the hotel, we were charged 50 pounds for the privilege and 16.50 pounds car parking!

I stayed four nights at this hotel and the best thing it has going for it is the location- very central and within walking distance of much of Leeds cit center, cleanliness of rooms and decent comparable room rate.

I found the Sunday breakfast less than average for the price- the layout of the breakfast items makes no sense and my request for coffee was "forgotten". The staff were reasonably friendly, but this is not going to make up for faux pas like this.

The recreational facilities are decent. Great size pool (I did not use) and the gym (which I used) is OK, but a bit cramped.

Parking is convenient, but be prepared for astronomical rates.

Overall given the price I would recommend it, but room for improvement.

Fast, effecient check in service, great room where everything worked, excellent housekeeping services, I asked my maid via notes for extra Shampoo and Conditioner and she obliged with a smile. The whole hotel is clean and neat - none of those treadbare carpets you soo often see and no cleaning behind the doors and in akward corners. If you have to stay away from home, its OK to do so here.
