“Great Hotel, Perfect Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

Stayed here on 4th Feb 2012. Very close to the city centre for shops, pubs, restaurants etc.. Even a stones throw from the station. We ended up driving as it worked out cheaper. We parked in Swinegate NCP from lunch time Sat til Lunch time Sun and it cost £17.50. Its 2 mins walk from the hotel itself and under cover too.
We used the leisure facilities whilst here which were very nice. No need to take your own towel as they give you one of these down at the gym reception. We used the pool, sauna, steam room and the jaccuzi. A very relaxing afternoon.
The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. Couldnt have asked for more and at such a bargainous rate too. Breakfast was top notch. Loads of choice.
If i need another Leeds break i will more than definately stay here!

Room Tip: A higher floor - to keep out the noise of the bustling city

Very good location for Leeds, close to shops and bars/restaurants. It must have been recently refurbished as the decor is very stylish. The rooms (especially the beds) are great - really really comfy!
The only bad point was the wait at reception to check in - at least ten minutes which was offputting and it wasn't even that busy. Other than that, no problems!

We were here in mid-November. The Marriott is very convenient to the train station and lots of great shopping and places to eat. The rooms and public areas were pretty much typical upper end Marriott with nice English touches. Leeds was much better than expected, including being already all decked out for Christmas. Breakfast was quite good

Stayed here for the weekend. A 5 minute walk from the station, close to shops and restaurants. A 10 minute walk to the music hall and 15 mins walk to the armouries.
Great location for a weekend in Leeds by train.
Hotel room great and the temp restaurant was good for breakfast.

Stayed in this hotel with colleagues to attend a conference/awards dinner. The same dingy, dark room was used for the conference and dinner the same evening, and we were startled to come down to breakfast to find the same windowless room servine as "restaurant". It is like eating in the school hall, with unattractive partitioning half way along, and badly chipped tables (I got a splinter!).
Rooms are comfy enough, but heating is very variable with those on upper floors being very hot, and lower floors being very cold.
Very clean in corridors and bedrooms/bathrooms.
