Dear cleo_224

A very belated happy birthday to you from the team. Glad we were able to make your celebrations special. You must come back and visit us soon as you say, it’s the perfect location for a city centre stop, and if you don’t want to go out into the bright lights we have a fabulous restaurant on site.

Warm regards

We only had a one night stay (wish it could have been longer!!!) booked via Luke in reservations, he could not of been more helpful. Check in professional and super quick. Rooms lovely and I wish I could have taken the bed home, it was so comfortable!! All the waiting on staff were lovely (even at 1am!!!) The location is briliant right in the middle of everything and just next to the railway station.

Dear Sara280969

Thank you so much for your kind review, what a shame you weren’t able to stay a little longer with us. The beds are comfortable aren’t they? We get so many compliments from guests, some requesting the make and model! Do come back and visit us soon, where you would be more than welcome

This beautiful Art Deco hotel is a little tired round the edges but my room was clean and well furnished and the staff were helpful and friendly. The dinning room was peaceful with a great menu and efficient service but I found the food did not taste as good as the presentation style led me to expect. Breakfast was buffet style and when I got there at 8:30 it was fairly cold. However check in and check out were extremely efficient despite it being a busy Friday morning when I left.

Dear TVRTraveller

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at The Queens and thank you for your comments on the standard of the décor, which was a particular concern to me. Over the last 5 years we have spent over £10millino on The Queens and touched almost every nook and cranny. We have also recently invested a further £500,000 to create the QClub floor and private executive lounge on the top floor so we take the upkeep and maintenance of our hotel extremely serious and will definitely look further into your comments.

On a more positive note, I am delighted that you found our staff both friendly and helpful and will certainly pass on your thoughts to them. I am sorry however that although you found the menu terrific and the service second to none that you were a little disappointed with the quality of the food. I can assure you that this is not our usual standard as we receive many compliments regarding the quality of our infamous Queens Breakfast and will certainly discuss your comments with Chef.

Thank you once again and I hope it hasn’t tainted your view of the hotel when staying in the city in future.

Warm regards

Stayed here for one night and got a great last minute deal. As such I think I was put in one of the older rooms as it was shabby. The sheets had holes in them and everything was just a bit dusty, old and uncared for. The public areas of the hotels were lovely though and the location really couldn't be beat. For what I paid and for only one night it was fine but I wouldn't like to think I had paid rack rate or had to be in that particular room for any length of time.
