I have been on several trips all over Europe and nothing compares to my experience in Leeds. The staff was impeccably helpful and very kind, the food was delicious, my room had a great view, was designed beautifully, up-to-date, and cozy. This is without a doubt the best hotel I have been to in Europe. Thank you again for a wonderful time in Leeds, this hotel made my business trip 100 times better.

Room Tip: Pick one facing the square

Thisvis supposed to be 4 star? We stayed in room 609, end of the hall next to the dirty curtains with the paint stains.. The room was small, the mattress was from 1970, the carpets dirty, the curtains has burns from people smoking out of the windows, the bathroom was tiny, literally could lean out of bed and touch the toilet. The bathroom was almost clean, however overall an absolutely dreadful experience. There is also a noise issue, the walls must be made of paper. The hairdryer also didnt work. Real shame since art deco could be done so well, but here i would say it is the worst hotel ive ever stayed in. Got about 2 hours sleep in that awful bed. It has had a renovation, however that appears to be the top 2 floors only. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your recent stay at our Hotel and your subsequent email to our Customer Relations Manager. As discussed with you early today I am genuinely sorry for the lapses in standards you experienced. I believe your experience on this occasion to be most untypical for our usual high standards of service. I would have welcomed the opportunity to rectify the situation at the time. I trust that my apology along with the agreed action will go some way in restoring your faith in us.

Conveniently situated - just around the corner from the train station and within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast looked nice although I didn't taste it - I settled for porridge which was very nice. Hotel staff were polite and friendly.

Excellent location especially when travelling by train as its about 2 mins walk from train station. Booked a superior room and it was beautiful, fridge, hairdryer and iron and ironing board in room. Nice decor and comfy bed, no noise in hotel even though it was a Saturday night. Went down to breakfast at 8.30am no queues or problem getting a table, good breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Ideally located next to the train station and centre of leeds. A very impressive building and walking inside is like going back to the 30's with its art deco interior. The reception area and lift especially is very cool as is the bar/lounge & fantastic cocktails too! Rooms nice only problem was our shower curtain was a tad mouldy and was stinking the room out a wee bit and this is only why we give 4 stars not 5. We never ate here as lots of fine local restaurants other side of square inc a great fish place. Breakfast perfectly fine for a buffet! Look forward to going back!

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the front

After staying in one of theQ Hotels earlier this year, we decided to try the Queens. Once we had negotiated our way round the City centre road we arrived and pulled into the slip road, instantly the Concierge was there to unload the car & take it to the secure underground car park. At £11.95 per night at weekends this represents value for money compared with other longstay car parks in the area.

Every member of staff greeted us with a smile & nothing too much trouble. The room we had was compact and functional, the breakfast experience was delightful, staff constantly topping up the trays with fine hot food.
