We went for the Travel Zoo offer. We booked for 8.00 but were kept sat upstairs drinking our champagne without a menu or a wine list for nearly an hour - we even had to ask for those. By the time we got to order, several of the dishes had run out and the restaurant was by no means full. My starter was good but the main course was average. We missed the train we wanted to catch home because we had not finished our meal, again we had to wait, and then they had the cheek to charge for water when we had asked for tap water. To cap it all the last train we could go for was 45 minutes late due to an accident on the train so it was not an enjoyable evening.

Ate here on the Travel Zoo offer - and stayed in the hotel on the back of it. Fantastic value for Money!! Could not have asked for more from the staff who were all fantastic!! Would pay full price for everything received. The guy who served me was the Deputy General Manager, who's knowledge on the building and the local area was outstanding.

Hats off, I will be back again.

We went for an early evening meal on a Travel zoo deal where to be fair you got 3 courses and champagne for £25 but the champagne was the best bit. I had the pork belly starter which was tiny and just ok. I paid a supplement for lobster which again was very small and over cooked with extremely salty crouton bread. The other diner's steak was over cooked too. Puddings were delicious: hot chocolate brownie with big chunks of chocolate and freshly baked rhubarb crumble. The staff were attentive and friendly and the setting very classy - shame about the starter and main. Was ok for £25 but thought we were getting special offer - didn't really feel it.

Very (very) attentive staff, pretty standard menu well presented and cooked, but did lack a bit of something. Plush spot with a chef who likes putting stuff on toast, not really quirky but does take up a large amount of menu space. I would go back if they dumped the toast idea. Good early evening choice of music.
