“highly recommended boutique hotel in centre of Leeds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013

Thanks Quebecs for a great stay earlier this week. I'm really quite fussy but I was impressed with this. I was upgraded to an executive room and it was fantastic. The bathroom was modern and clean with a great shower (with an extra detachable head, essential for we ladies with long hair to be washed!!). There are L'occitane smellies in the bathroom, shampoo, body lotion etc. It was really clean and the food was nice with a wide choice of room service. There is a fridge in the room which is really handy and there was a plate of fruit waiting for me. The bed was comfy with a choice of down or synthetic pillows. There are robes and slippers and fluffy towels. I work in Leeds 4 days a week and so I've booked in to stay next week again. The only down side is they only have a few car parking spaces which are first come first served and it's £15 per night! They are cramped spaces, but the alternative is a large multi-storey down the road which is a similar price. They have free wifi too & air con in the rooms. The staff are all really helpful. It's right in the city centre so really handy for the bars, clubs and financial district. Will definitely stay again, have booked in for next week!

Room Tip: I was in 204 looking over the side car park of the hotel. There wasn't much outside noise at tha...

This is a great choice for a weekend in the city. Staff very welcoming. I was lucky to be able to get a parking space next to the hotel but it is probably best to assume that you won't and use a nearby public car park. Very nice recently opened hotel bar. Breakfast is very good, but staff need to pay full attention to cleanliness of crockery and cutlery. Room was also very good, again attention needed to the small details which would turn this from very good to excellent, e.g. Remote control needed new batteries and in room safe needed hire of a key which wasn't explained at check-in. I do recommend this hotel fully though, if you want a very good quality hotel in the centre of Leeds.

Stayed for 2 nights in an Executive room. Great location in the centre of Leeds, good friendly service but the hotel was let down by the detail. Breakfast was great but some of the cutlery and all of the coffee cups were dirty on the second day.

Next time I will try somewhere else but would be prepared to return in future.

I stayed for one night with my daughter who is starting university in Leeds. We were in room 211 a small comfort room.It had every thing we needed and exceeded our expectations for the price. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome.I cannot fault the helpfulness of the staff nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable, lovely toiletries in the bathroom ect..I want to say a big thank you to Marion on reception for all her help and advice regarding where to go to our pre uni shopping, being our first visit we had no idea where we were! There is a lovely breakfast room on the fourth floor which we thought was quite expensive but the food did look lovely.I am really looking forward to staying again never slept so well!Thank you

Beautiful luxury hotel of 1890 (the Liberals Club then), ceramic bricks. Hidden gem in a city of dull chain hotels. Excellent service, wonderful rooms and meeting rooms (the Oak room is a gem in itself), our suite was well refurbished and tastefully decorated. The Porters Lodge is a brilliant idea with a welcoming "porter" who would do anything for you.

Room Tip: Suites are spacious and quiet, beautifully decorated.

Good room, nice quality everything. Fabulous location. I agree that the customer service could be better (falls down compared to Mal Maison) but I would definitely stay again. The room was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. I love that you can walk to the bars and restaurants.
