This was a very nice hotel, i can not fully put my finger on why, but it just had that "nice feel". On check in we were given a complimentary glass of wine which is a nice touch. The room was spacious and comfortable. We faced the road at the front of the hotel, and yes it was a little noisy around 2-3am as people went home, but it was not as bad as some hotels in city centres. The bathrooms are very big and have both bath and shower. One tip is to take some bottled water. The water in the hotel is from a tank rather than the mains so they suggest it is not for drinking. They do give you a complimentary bottle, however it is not enough to last 2 for the night. Not a critisism though - just a tip.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the main road.

Thank you for posting your review, it is very much appreciated.

I am pleased that you found the hotel has a "nice feel"; we always like to make everybody feel as welcome and as comfortable as possible.

We are in the city centre; therefore, sometimes there can be some noise outside the hotel from passers by.

Some of our guests have commented that they find the river side rooms quieter, so I would suggest that on your next stay, you request for a room overlooking the river and we will do our up most to allocate one for you.

If you ever run out of the complimentary water or require more than one bottle, please let the reception team know and we will replenish for you.

The team and I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the future.

Kindest regards

Great Room, really comfy bed. Lovely frog soaps :), bathrobes provided. Lovely views from hotel window. Fab breakfast.

Everything and more that you would expect from a trendy boutique hotel.

Honesty bar for drinks late at night.

Really enjoyed stay and will return when we stop over in Leeds again.

Room Tip: I would think they are all good.

42 The Calls is an excellent boutique hotel in a great location in Leeds City Centre. The hotel is on The Calls, next to the River Aire. It is around the corner from Leeds best bars on Call Lane and around a 10 minute walk into the city centre.

Although it isn't cheap, our room with breakfast cost £140, you get what you are paying for. The room was huge, with fantastic original features such as the wooden window shutters and a great 'shabby chic' style. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very large. We purposely booked a more expensive hotel for our visit and I was not let down by the room or the service. The front desk were friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for something a little special for your trip to Leeds and you don't mind paying a bit more then 42 The Calls is well worth the extra!

Room Tip: Ask for a river view when booking!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay with us.

We are very fortunate to have such fantastic, original, features from the hotels origin as a working Corn Mill and I am glad you were able to appreciate these.

I have ensured that your comments have been passed to the team, who I know will be most appreciative of your very positive comments.

This was a special treat for my birthday. We were allocated Room 303, a free upgrade from a Deluxe to a Director suite. We paid £115 for our room, but it would have been more for the Director. The room was spacious and comfortable, though it was a little dusty in places, and for a Director room, some of the furniture was quite cheap (side tables!!).

BUT - the hotel has a great location, the staff is very helpful, and the breakfast is FANTASTIC. Homemade bread and jams, choice of sausages, free range eggs....the lot! AND, breakfast was served till 11.30am on Sunday which gave us a chance to laze around!

We'd both stay again given the chance!

Thank you for posting a review of your stay with us and Happy Belated Birthday!

I was concerned to read that the room was dusty in places; I have ensured the Head Housekeeper and her team are aware of this, please accept my apologies for this lapse in standards.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we always aim to offer a wide variety and choice to our guests. I am delighted that you thought this was FANTASTIC!

I am very pleased that you enjoyed your 'special treat' with 42 The Calls and I hope you get the chance to stay with us again soon.

Kindest regards

Stayed here couple of years ago and thought lovely small hotel. On water front. Comfy bed and linens.
This time had room to side by end of bridge walkway. OMG the noise from late till 6 am is one group of revellers after another the buildings act like an ampitheatre. It kept me awake most of 1st night my husband the 2nd you could actually here every word spoken and we were on the 3rd story. Boys and girls on nights out are not that quiet at best of times. Carpets and furnishings starting to look bit tired. Paper being delivered in supposed to be privacy cabinet. Great as whoever bangs about with lock and banging doors at who knows what time of morning. Did not help as usually after the revellers outside and just dropping off. So beware Friday Saturday night, Previous visit midweek and had room overlooking river. So did not have the noise factor last visit.

Room Tip: Good location with right room can be quiet.
