“A walk of history”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

The museum is located away from the city centre, and requires about 10-15 minutes of walking after alighting from the bus. Despite its remote location, the surroundings of the museum offers a good blend of an deindustrialized "park" along the small stream. There is an admission fee which isn't that expensive, and you get to watch a short live demonstration of the mill operation. One good thing about this museum is that although there were not many visitors, the museum is like a well-maintained deindustrialized factory that offers tranquility in the forest (the museum is pretty close to a forest).

“Fascinating large industrial museum”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

This museum is in a large old factory building with several rooms of fascinating exhibits ranging from water wheels, to early film cameras and textile manufacture.
This is a wonderful museum and well worth visiting.

“Great Venue with added guests after dark.”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 via mobile

We visited the Mills as part of a GCUK Paranormal Events investigation.

The staff were friendly and handled the whole night very professionally.

We had 45 guests on the night abs had chance to visit all the regular spots and some not so regular ones.

The venue is lovely, the exhibits ate interesting and give a good depth if history of not only this Mill but other similar Mills.

Plenty of activity for Guests once our Mediums had grounded, protected and asked the former occupants to step forward.

Several personal messages for guests from family who had passed.

A very successful evening.

Attending events with GCUK Paranormal Events does give the opportunity to see parts of magnificent venues such as this that ordinarily would be out if bounds.
