“Magical tree”
Review of City Square

City Square
Reviewed 12 November 2013

At this time of year you know Christmas is around the corner when the tree goes up in City Square. Festooned with small coloured lights this is a beacon from all corners of the square. Together with the numerous restaurants this makes a happy glowing meeting place for all ages. What a shame the old 'Majestic' is closed as this makes a dull corner.

have been to leeds recently and the city has recently opened up a new shopping centre and is a very good addition to its already fab designer shops something for everyone and spacious.Leeds has some fantastic buildings of architecture and some great sculptures the river and canal let it down slightly and although on the up could do with afew more attractions parking can be expensive but tends to be cheaper on sundays driving around the city centre is tricky you need a few days to get your bearings but sat navs help!

Square good space - market dreadful. And queuing to go into a bar with Butlins-style singing!!! Back to Germany next year I think.

The many changes having taken place since I circled City Square, many years ago on my travels to and from my place of work. No longer is there to be found a wayside pulpit boldly declaring Humdrum isn't what you do it's what you are. Instead is the growth of huge shiny office buildings proclaiming the city's progress and importance.
