“A lovely stroll round a gothic ruin!”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

Had an hour to kill, so decided to get some fresh air & some exercise. Gothic ruin in beautifully kept grounds, with a lovely walk along the water's side. Looked spectacular with the autumn leaves on the abundant trees.

“A beautiful photogenic ruin”
Reviewed 16 November 2013

It's a nice place to visit. It's all in ruins but there are still prominent structures that can be seen in the Abbey. It's a nice place to visit on a beautiful afternoon.

“Blast of the past in the bustle of the city....”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

I love this place. It has everything...a large gothic ruin, a waterside walk on pathways through trees...and across the road a superb little cafe and a museum which offers something for everyone. My grandchildren loved it...they dressed up and wandered down tiny cobbled streets lined with old shops and a school... a wonderful place....

“Absolutely breathtaking”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

We were at Kirkstall Abbey on a recent visit to UK to meet new family and they took us here. It was absolutely breathtaking in all its glory. It was a dismal day and misty and it just made for a perfect atmosphere. Beautiful site.
Well worth a visit.
