Parking expensive, kids activity area a total waste of money, activities include diablos without string!
Café was filthy and food was revolting.

Found the visit interesting and some of the insight as to how people had to live in filth and squalor was eye opening but just felt it was more aimed at a younger market and also thought the admission price rather too high , we have been to many museums in other cities where entry was free .
The staff were all polite and helpful and we had a nice snack in the cafeteria before commencing our tour .

A great history of medicine for all the family. Plenty of information pitched for children and adults. You can tell you are getting old when machines and equipment you remember as a child in hospital are facing you in a museum. Excellent use of a half day in Leeds.

We spent nearly five hours in the Thackray Medical Museum. We walked through mock-ups of how it was in earlier years, the muck and filth that people lived in, their awful illnesses and early death. Some of it was quite creepy with the mannequins - you half-expected them to start moving! A fabulous place to see, so interesting and informative.

Im 24 and went with my 25 year old boyfriend. We went on a saturday afternoon so it wasnt full of school trips. We found it really interesting, it is aimed at 10 year olds really and the growing up section is a bit too hands on for adults. The street is super though. We really enjoyed our trip but I wouldnt rush back soon...
