Visited today for lunch as you can use the tastecard on a Saturday!

Other than 2 couples on a gin tasting we were the only people in.

I asked when getting drinks at the bar if we could have some menus and was told they will bring them up. After 10 minutes my boyfriend got up to get them and was told to sit down they were bringing them .. Still another 5 minutes before they actually did come up with them and another 15 minutes before coming to take our order. As we were the only people in there it's very poor service!

The food was again really nice, shame they don't do starters or deserts though!

No one came back up to check on us or the food, and we had to go to the bar to pay after waiting so long for the bill.

It's my second time in the restaurant whilst a tasting is on and they really do prioritise these than the other guests in the restaurant!

We will go back just because the food is really good! Shame the tables downstairs are more suited to drinking not dining as the service might be better if they can see you! Out of sight out of mind!

We had a table booked for 10, they had failed to tell us the whole downstairs area was being used for a wedding, meaning we couldn't go to the bar, which would have been fine if it didn't take 40+ minutes to get a drink! When we eventually got to place our orders almost an hour after we arrived we were informed 3 of the 6 main menu items were off? When the food arrived it was nothing special, no better than pub type standard - although as we were restricted to the 'burger' or salad sections of the menu it was no great surprise? They were also missing quite a few key ingredients from the cocktail menu so a bit of a disappointment in all, doubt we would go back

After going to a wine tasting a couple of months ago, which was excellent,we decided to try the gin tasting sat 31may. Again an excellent event, well organised, presented beautifuly, Tom knows his stuff & there was plenty to sample, gorgeous gin cocktails too & the food supplied was tasty & fresh. Its the bourbon tasting next for us.
Would highly recommend, at £20 per head, whats to loose?
