Awww could the staff be any sweeter? We go here quite a lot as it is my 5 year old's fav place to eat. At the moment we are going to places straight from work/school. We had the usual selection from the BBQ meats part of the menu. Here's what makes this place special, my little girl is going through a phase of just wanting cucumber and tomatoe only, so they made a pretty salad with just those. She wants just a lamb kebab, so she gets that with her own design salad. Then she insists on reading her school reading book to the waiter, who patiently sat down and listened to her read (could have died of embarrassment). She wants fancy orange just so she gets a pretty glass with a straw. She wants HER table, so she gets the one she wants. with all the running around they do after her you would think she were royalty. Fact is they genuinely like children here. No corporate colouring books or menu and chips in site. Just a genuinely welcome. The food of course is brilliant as always. But the welcome is perfect!

We've always thought of Darvish as high on quality and value. This is the first time we've tried the stews and they are very tasty. The waiter, who was very attentive, took time to show us how they are traditionally served. If you're ordering a kebab, make sure you order a dip from the starter menu or it would be quite dry; the smokey aubergine and tomato dip is wonderful.

Just returned from a very enjoyable and relaxing meal. The casserole style dishes (including an extremely tender lamb shank) were delicious and the kebabs not bad at all. Saffron ice cream fantastic. Attentive and polite service including from the chef. No sense of being hurried at all. £60 for four (3 courses) including £6 corkage (£3 / bottle). Will be going again.

This used to be a really quirky place offering really decent food and a nice family atmosphere at a great price.

However, our meal tonight was pretty awful. The service was really poor (the waitress brought rice instead of a naan bread and when we told her this she simply shrugged and walked away), the staff unfriendly and the food was genuinely rubbish.

I'm pretty flabbergasted and have no idea what went wrong, but we won't be returning.

We have been ot his restaurant a few times over the lat four years. We went with a small group of friends on Friday night. we were not welcomed and had the worst service ever. The waiteress and other staffs were rude and unwelcoming and practically throw the food on our table. It is a kind of place you must be drunk in order to enjoy it!! the food was cold and nothing like you should get in an Iranian restaurnt. Would not reccomend it to anyone
