Owner description: Situated in the heart of Leeds, the Grand Theatre opened in 1878 and has been entertaining people ever since. With a wide programme from musicals to stand-up, opera to drama and ballet to family shows, there's bound to be something that you'll enjoy.

I feel really disloyal criticising this place as it looks so quaintly charming....but I find it a very uncomfortable place to be!! Expensive Dress Circle tickets three rows back but had great difficulty in seeing the stage. Person in front obviously had the same problem so we were both bobbing and weaving around, (and presumably everyone behind us too!), in order to see the action on stage. Seats cramped and with little leg room...a very claustrophobic experience heightened by the heat and lack of air. Thank goodness for the West Yorkshire Playhouse!

A gorgeous building that had a great variety of performances coming up. Sadly we were not able to attend any during this visit. Worth keeping an eye out for one that interests you though!

This is a great intimate theatre full of character.

Highly recommended for a great night out with family and friends.

I would also make sure you visit the bar on the 1st floor during the interval, very old world, a step back to victorian Britain!!

Been to Grand Theatre many times. Always had excellent service. Comfy seats with plenty of leg room. Lovely theatre too.
