A beautiful hotel within a relaxed enviroment

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 Mar 2020via mobile
Came to stay at the Weetwood for a family event. The hotel is a wonderful structure with a quiet area, ideal for a bit of TLC and reading. The staff were polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds and large bathroom. The breakfast was gorgeous and varied. Plus you have the hotel bar and Stable pub so you have multiple drinking choices. Overall a beautiful hotel and ideal if your looking to get away from the hussle and bustle of city life.

Lovely hotel. Spacious family room with a proper single bed as well as double. Bright and airey and clean. Nice bathroom with bath and shower. Handy pub on sight but prices the same as restaurant. Ate in the hotel restaurant. Could not fault the food. But very expensive. My daughter had a margarita pizza and they put pesto sauce all over it so we had to send it back. Steak was amazing. Beef nachos and prawn wrap roll was lovely. Food bill was more expensive than the hotel. My son used the David Lloyd Gym. Got free taxi there and back. Headingley centre is just down the road where there are pubs, nando's and Pizza Express. Lovely grounds and great location for Leeds. Would stay again.

I stayed here with family as visiting the Emmerdale studio experience with a 77 year old family member.

When we arrived, the room we booked for 3 only had facilities for 2. We contacted Reception and this was sorted and we were given a new room.
The room was spacious and clean, perfect for 1 nights stay.

We ate in the Convive restaurant which was beautiful and good value for money!

Our stay was ruined by screaming and shouting until after 1am of people waiting outside of the reception for taxis. The windows may as well not exist as they do nothing for blocking out noise!
The hotel staff or security (lack of) done absolutely nothing to manage the noise in respect of their paying guests! We tried to call reception on a number of occasions but were not answered!

Would be reluctant to stay again!

Stayed here for one night as visiting the Emmerdale studio experience which is 9 minutes drive away. At this hotel set in lovely grounds there is ample free parking. The reception/booking in was simple and straight forward with great staff. We purchased a 'superior twin' room but even though it was a good size, the old wooden wardrobes were a bit of a let down. The room had everything we needed and was very warm. There was a mini fridge with 2 complimentary bottles of water and a free to use room safe, tea/coffee etc.
We didn't use the restaurant but instead decided to walk the short distance (5 mins) to a cosy little family run place called 'West Park Lounge.' About 200 feet from there is an Italian place which also looked lovely. After dinner we walked just over the road to the Village Hotel and watched some sport on their big TV whilst enjoying a couple of pints.
On the morning of checkout, we had our included full English breakfast which was without fault. A really enjoyable stay, good hotel, great staff, parking, food, locality etc and would definitely stay here again..

I have been staying in Leeds for over 20 years and have tried a huge cross section including all of the major chain hotels. This week I tried the 4 star Weetwood. Having had two daughters at Leeds University over the last 10 years visits to Leeds, both on business and for family have been many.

I booked directly with the hotel which was quick and simple. On arriving at the hotel there was ample and free parking( not the case with a lot of Leeds hotels) Check-in was quick and simple and I had been selected as "Guest of the Day" this meant a free upgrade to a superior room, a welcome note in the room, a large bowl of fruit, and a Pod coffee making machine.
Room was excellent and very spacious, bathroom modern warm and dry. We decided to eat in the restaurant. As guest of the day we were given our first drink with compliments of the house. Dinner was excellent with complimentary breads and water. Excellent, food, service, ambiance. Breakfast was equally as good with an extensive choice of fresh fruits, pastries eggs cooked to order you could not fault it.
I can't believe I have spent so many nights in Leeds and not stayed at the Weetwood! Mid range price for a luxury hotel in Leeds.

Room tip: we stayed in the old house overlooking the entrance, very quiet.

Easy to find. Plenty of parking, got a standard room but was not to out liking so asked for a upgrade to superior which was better and no fuss, hotel is immaculate and staff were superb, stables pub within grounds was nice start of point before heading down to Otley Road for a few pubs, breakfast was nice to, would definitely stop here again
