“Beautiful gutted only stayed 1 night!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013 via mobile

I'm gutted I only got to stay 1 night! This hotel is gorgeous. Staff were friendly helpful and professional. Big thanks to the young man in the spa who helped me refill my oil in the car! Rooms were spacious clean and cool. Real milk in the rooms and not plastic milk! Spa was clean and lovely will definately be bringing my husband for a visit. The restaurant was also beautiful food on monday night was amazing. My only 'issue' no skimmed milk for breakfast! I stayed with work colleagues and we were all equally pleased. Well done Thorpe park hotel and spa you did yourselves proud. Thanks again.

What a fantastic day and night.
The hotel is in a great location easily accessible and well sign posted.
Our party was four ladies- we had pre booked the GIRLS NIGHT IN PACKAGE.
We arrived early, our inter-connecting rooms were available, well maintained, beautifully clean and had a gift of nail colour, file, skincare samples and chocolates.
We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch followed by use of the spa and pool and a treatment (extra payable )
We returned to our room, settled in and took receipt of the lovely plentiful tapas selection. An hour later ice crean, fresh strawberries and popcorn.
A good nights sleep followed by a good breakfast was just perfect.
Great service for our stay, would highly recommend and I hope to return soon.

We attended a family wedding here in August '13 and have to say it is a lovely venue. Although the outside is quite sterile looking the red carpet was out and we were soon ushered through to the gardens at the back which were lovely. We had canapes and champagne served outside and all the staff were so helpful, friendly and attentive. The canapes were simply delicious.

Drinks were not cheap but this was to be expected. The inside of the hotel is beautifully decorated and very sumptuous. The room for the wedding breakfast was large and well air conditioned. And the meal itself was gorgeous! Leek and potato soup, roast pork and lemon tart. Again staff were fantastic always topping up the wine and asking if we were ok. We had a baby with us and once again the staff were great showing us were the baby changing was and warming up bottles.

All in all a beautiful hotel, fantastic staff and lovely decor! I picked up a brochure for the spa and I would defiantly look into going back for an overnight spa break.

Unfortunately I can not comment on the rooms or breakfast as we did not stay the night. Thank you for a lovely experience Thorpe Park Hotel!

Stayed here for 4 nights for a friends wedding, arrived on Wednesday 31st July having travelled from france. the room was excellent with working air con which was welcome as it was humid. Fridge in room with water and a carton of fresh milk (replaced everyday). Found on thursday morning hairdryer not heating up but was quickly replaced. Wednesday afternoon my wife went for a spray tan to look lovely and brown for wedding, but was not entirely happy with end result but credit to Spa they did not charge.
Swimming pool was excellent plenty of room for lengths etc. Ate in hotel on Wednesday with some friends who came to catch up on our french life, again food excellent and a good selection of wines it was fine dining and if you have 3 courses with wine it wil be around £50 per head but well worth it.
Wedding was on the Thursday and was well organised with food and wine all, getting a bit repetative now but yes you have guessed it excellent.
Really enjoyed our stay staff lovely and had time to chat
Oh yes breakfast well I will let you find out for yourselfs

We stopped off here on our drive back to London from Edinburgh. We booked two twin bedrooms for the four of us ( two adults and two teenage kids). They organised for us to have rooms right next to each other which was really organised and thoughtful.

Leeds is about half way between London and Edinburgh so great place to have a rest. This hotel is also only 30 minutes away from York if you want to stop in there to do some sight seeing.

The lady at the front desk was the friendliest person and is a credit to the hotel. The rooms were perfect. They have thought of everything especially for the kids. Free milk and cookies before they go to bed is a nice touch. They also give you some free water bottles and fresh milk for your tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate which is also nice to have in a hotel room. The food in the bar was tasty and well presented. Although I did not use the pool or spa it looked great. The pool is a nice size for a swim. The bathrooms in the rooms were modern and included a walk in shower and nice big bath towels.

The hotel also gives you dressing gowns to wear in your room. These were so comfortable that I asked them if I could pay and take one of them home with me. They were charging 35 pounds for a new one which was really worth it.

The only negative thing I would say is the very heavy room doors. You need a few muscles to open them and when you close them there is a bang unless you are careful. This means that late at night and early in the morning the doors being closed in the corridor wakes you up.

We will book here again when up this way in the future.

We have used this hotel before and know to expect clean and spacious rooms and a decent sleep and breakfast. There is a nice seating area in the bedroom separated by a step where you can work or sit and read. Unfortunately the step is lit at night so you do not trip and the light does mean that the room is not very dark which I found a bit disturbing.
The shower is very good and there are nice fluffy towels and bathrobes.
Breakfast foods were of good quality but it was a bit hectic and would be preferable if tea/ coffee were served to the table rather than everyone toing and froing with pots of hot liquid. Care has been taken to create a very pretty garden to stroll afterwards although it is noisy due to the motorway.
This is a good location if you need to be near the motorway and main roads but it is a little way into Leeds if you need the city centre.
Yet again we did not have time for the pool but it looked excellent and we must try it on the next visit.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be good. Views of either car park or garden.

Phoned the hotel up to organise a spa day for myself and my partner.....explained that we were not members, neither staying at the hotel , but was reassured that we could still use the facilities that day. Made a lengthy trip with my girlfriend as a surprise for her 21st to the hotel to be then told if you are not a member or staying at the hotel you cannot use the services! Having had a conversation that morning with the HOTEL STAFF and then to be told different upon arrival with no apology or no solution to solve the issue. I would advise that all members of staff know the rules of the hotel and services before answering customers enquiries!
Very disappointing as this ruined our day and will definitely not be using this hotel or their facilities in the future after such a bad experience!
ADVISE USING ANOTHER HOTEL WITH HELPFULL STAFF

Thank you for review – it’s disappointing to read some negative comments about the hotel team as I know they work hard to try to help all guests who arrive with us, whatever the reason for their stay. Sunday mornings are a relatively quiet time for us and I have spoken to all of the team on duty on the morning in question, and two of them remember this incident well. Both Jess and Louise are experienced and trusted members of the team, and they did try hard to help, offering options to allow you to utilise the facilities linked with some treatments, which does seem at odds to your own recollection of events. I’m unsure as to where the £12 figure comes from as we don’t offer any kind of day pass to the spa and wonder perhaps if you might have confused us with another hotel or spa in the area.

Kind regards,
Gordon Jackson - General Manager
