“Good value lunch”
Reviewed 20 December 2012

Came here for a work lunch, and I've also been here to visit a couple of the exhibitions in the past. Overall it's a great addition for Leeds, adding another reason to visit the city centre every so often as the exhibitions change.

Ate here for the first time today - the menu consists of pizzas, sandwiches and salads, all prepared freshly. We all opted for the pizzas, which were very reasonable at £7, and they were a good size for this, with a nice crispy base and decent amount of topping. Overall an enjoyable meal and good value.

The only drawback was that they're not too used to dealing with groups, as there wasn't a table set up for our booking, and the pizza oven only has a capacity of 2 pizzas at a time, meaning they'd have to be staggered slightly. Still, overall it's a really nice and slightly different place to come for an informal lunch.

“A very welcoming and modern cafe bar with photography + film gallery”
Reviewed 26 November 2012

26 Aire Street is a modern cafe bar that opens up into a very unique film and photography gallery in the centre of Leeds, just next to the train station.

They have a great selection of beers and have the full range of Rekorderlig hand pulled ciders, apparently the only establishment to have this in Leeds.

The staff are warm and friendly and the environment is more akin to something that you would find in London, rather than Leeds.

There are two bars; the front bar is a great place to socialise. The second bar is more of an area to dine (there's a great range of tasty food) in big comfy chairs or relax with a wine or beer whilst taking in some of the artwork. This gives an appetiser for what's in store if you wish to venture further on into the White Cloth Gallery Photography & Film.

This in turn makes the drinking and dining experience more cultural and interesting, as you can have a wander, take in the artwork that is on offer, whilst sipping on your favourite tipple!

All in all a wholly enjoyable experience for all ages and something very different for the Leeds scene.
