Lovely place to stay, good location! As I have read on here, there are alot of hen parties at this hotel. I asked the receptionist to not put me near them and my wish was granted! Lovely bar staff and clean rooms! Security on the door after 12 which is fab and can leave bags after checked out so you can shop without carrying bags! All round good hotel :)

my husband and i were staying in leeds for a 1 night break. When we checked in, the desk staff were very busy, but still took the time to be very friendly and polite. We were allocated a room on the 7th floor, with a view of the river, lovely size room, good size bathroom with bath and shower (toileteries provided, no need to take your own!) fab bed with extra pillows and a big cosy duvet. breakfast was great, again, all staff very smiley and polite. loads of choice for breakfast, especially the different kinds of breads. Overall a great experience, would recommend for any kind of guest.
if you go on a saturday, try and park on the road outside because you only pay till 6pm and Sunday is free!!

I was in the area for one night on a tour of the UK. From check-in to check-out service was fast and efficient. Rooms nicely decorated and very clean. Room was very quiet. The hotel was a bit out of the city center and seemed like it was an area with an "industrial" feel. So I was surprised to see what looks like former warehouses have been turned into apartments and restaurants I walked to the city center in about 15 minutes. The stores in the city close early by 8 pm, but plenty of pubs doing a brisk business on a Tuesday evening. Small market behind the hotel open late which was really nice to have nearby. Wifi was good. Breakfast was excellent, it was busy, but cheerful, helpful servers kept the pace going. No complaints, would recommend.

The hotel is a bit of a treck from the city centre. We ended up getting taxis to and from the hotel
Overall it's nice and clean and quite modern
The rooms are a bit tight with a double and single bed but 3 girls managed ok
Lots of stag and hen parties seem to stay here so not for a quiet weekend away?!
There are a couple of bars close to the hotel Oracle which is a champagne bar and another which is a rum bar which serves a good breakfast

This hotel is full of Stag & Hen parties! It also smells of sewage which comes up the toilets & sinks. I think this could be due to the fact its located on the canal.
The hotel had no water what so ever the next morning and we had to get washed in Bottled FIZZY WATER! The booking clerks do not listen to your requests, and we booked a superior room but didn't get one! we got a poky little dark room overlooking the smoking ally instead!
This Hotel was supposed to be a romantic break for our wedding anniversary instead it was like Fawlty Towers and more like a budget hostel AVOID!

Dear DJY65,

Thank you for your review following your recent stay at Jurys Inn Leeds.

I would like to sincerely apologise for the issues we had with the water on the morning of Sunday 11th May 2014. Unfortunately this was a situation that was out of our control and we did everything to try and have this back up and running as soon as possible.

Regarding the upgarded room, if you could provide me more details of your booking, I will look into this further as this should certainly have been allocated correctly.

Please could you contact me as soon as possible on georgina_wylie@jurysinns.com so that we can discuss your issues further.

Went to Leeds for a weekend after my partner had been on a training course nearby. Chose this hotel partly because it looked close to the city centre but also because we wanted to do Cross Flats Parkrun on Saturday morning and it looked like an easy drive to it.
The hotel is new, modern, a little way out of the city centre (which was fine by us) but an easy walk in over the pedestrian bridge. There is a small Sainsburys in the same 'complex'.
We had a room up on the 8th or 9th floor so it was quiet and we weren't affected by noise from below. We didn't eat/drink in the hotel.
The hotel does not have parking but there is a huge carpark just behind it. Daily rates were £6.50 per day which seemed very reasonable - the only gripe I had is that the parking rates were from midnight to midnight rather than 24 hours from when you paid so going into a second day was unavoidable.
We found the hotel comfortable and in a good location for what we needed.
