The usual great standards for the Premier Inn chain are here and in particular I’d like to mention the sincere and warm service I received from Dudley and Kirsty. I also had the best night’s sleep for months at this hotel. I sleep well at all their hotels but this hotel was exceptionally peaceful and it was a Saturday night I stayed!
But I wish I’d researched the location better before I booked it. The hotel name suggests it’s in the northern part of the city centre and geographically it is yet when I was there it felt like it was actually just on the outskirts.. I think if you’re out and about in the bars on Woodhouse Lane or Merrion Way then this hotel is very handy being a five minute drunken stumble away, or if you’re visiting at the nearby universities. But if you’re out further down the city (which I feel is more civilised than the northern part of town) or shopping as I was, then you’re talking at least 15 minute walk each way to anything decent. There’s only a Nisa mini-supermarket close by so bear that in mind.
I’d stay here again but only on a cheap deal.
