Been twice now and more booked
kaiser chiefs and Sterophonics
As already mentioned it it the bands who bring the music system - hence the variation on sound

Parking - many carparks all 3-4 mins away from the arena and at around £5-£8 a bargain
Bars - always will be queues at an arena , but fairly quick and planet of them.
Prices - matches to nearby arenas but as expected towards the high side but arena always are
Staff - excellent and friendly - I have been to many venues which have been ruined by the staff on duty. You can not take for the granted the importance if a great team of staff
Arena - amazing , views and sound quality are fantastic . seen stereophonics many times and this was the best I have see n them . The view, visuals and audio was outstanding.
Arena team - amazing how friendly they are and how they use social media to interact - other venues now must play catchup

A fantastic venue it really is

Venue deceiving. Looks small from the outside but huge inside. Considering that this has only been open a few months the staff exceeded my expectations. Every member couldn't do more to help, even if it was just for directions. All seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. Everything organised and large crowds well controlled.

Enjoyed the concert as per most of the previous reviews.

Acoustics were very good - but as the management point out, they are provided not by the Arena but by the artist production teams.

Didn't buy food or drink as I know, like all the others in the UK - they take us as mugs.

Entry and exit is well designed and easy - did not experience people jams as described in some reviews.

However, I did find two issues which are very disappointing for such a new venue;

Ventilation - or lack of it. How can it be that such a new building cooks its upper tiers to the point of feeling faint? I looked up to see a lot of ducting and what appeared to be ventilation points - but could not breath!

Lost People - could have so easily been overcome if the row letters were luminous as are the stair markers. Witnessed a constant flow of people unable to see the row markers, roaming around, lost and struggling. This does interrupt views of the act and is irritating - and with a bit of thought - could have been avoided in the first place.

Our first time at the Leeds Arena and we liked the size of it - it made the concert seem quite intimate compared to larger venues such as the MEN. We were seated on the third tier Block 331 (Row N) and a downside was that it was very hot up there - almost to the extent that you felt you could pass out. Leg room was poor - I am 5 feet 10 and it was incredibly uncomfortable for me and for shorter people too. It is a shame they appear to have put too many seats in to maximise profits but to the detriment of paying customers.
The Stereophonics were amazing and the sound quality was excellent. A great night - just shame about the seats.

For several years I have had to go to Manchester / Newcastle / Sheffield as Leeds did not have its own arena - the new Arena is well worth the wait. It has a massive advantage over most other arenas as the layout is very different and far better set up for concerts. The audience are much closer to the action due to the shape and layout (although the back of Tier 3 may have been more distant). Access before and after the concert was very quick, queues for food and drink short and toilets were fine (but not many women there for Depeche Mode and the true test will be when lots of women want to use the toilets which can often cause big queues in other arenas). I avoided the obvious car park close by in the Merrion Centre in case of delays getting out but it was OK as I left but I don't know what it would have been like a little later on. Overall, a great new arena for Leeds.
