Our first visit despite only living a 10 minute drive away but it won't be our last. The reserve is only open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and most bank holidays between 10.00am and 4.00pm and admission is free. The small visitor centre is manned by helpful staff and there are refreshments available. Even though our visit was in school holidays we found there to be lots of space and a very tranquil atmosphere. It was a bit of an overcast day but even so there was a lot of wildlife to spot and the wildflowers are magnificent. The site is exceptionally well maintained and it is very easy to get around, hats off to the volunteer workers responsible. All in all a great day out.

Accessing this park means a drive through a built up area and honestly wouldn't expect a nature reserve to be behind it all. It's a gorgeous place. It's well kept and I loved the dragonfly ponds. There are many different habitats to explore and a range of wildlife can be spotted. The shop is inexpensive and offers food and drinks.

First visit but will not be my last, lots of different habitats, very easy to get round, pity its only open till 16:00 as I think that's the time it will get very interesting in winter. Not too much about bird wise but good for July. Worth the visit for the dragon and damsel flies and lots of wildflowers too annoyed to realise I had the camera on the wrong setting as I uploaded the photos.

I have visited with my family and boyfriend. The walk is lovely, the ponds had fish, butterflies and frogs. The information boards are useful too to identify the different birds. Easy parking.
