“Great”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

Visited for a business dinner earlier this month. Had the scallops risotto which was great. Excellent service from the waiting staff and the manager also asked for feedback which we gave as very positive. Wine menu is quite pricey as were the scallops (£15-£16). This is good quality food which doesn't give the impression of being "out of a bag".

I have heard that they do a great early bird menu which I will try.

Nice looking place; good atmosphere. Well done!

“Great service”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

Had a lovely meal well above the normal pub food and large portions would say it a bit higher than I would expect to pay. I have to say the staff where fantastic gave us the perfect amount of attention and where amusing would recommend to give it a try

“Excellent food and warm welcome”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

After finding that Pizza Express and Frankie & Benny's could not take a table of 9 early on Saturday evening we decided to try out the Brownlee Arms at Horsforth, knowing nothing about it at all. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the Manager was lovely with the four children we had with us. I tried the Americana Board (ideal for carnivores like me) which was fantastic and my fellow diners found their choices to be equally as good. We didn't have room for puddings but we would have been spoilt for choice. As a visitor from over the Pennines it may be a few weeks before I can visit again but I definitely will visit again and would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Good Food and Service ”
Reviewed 6 December 2013 via mobile

We went to the brownlee arms on a whim with our 1 year old, and we couldn't be more pleased. I had the Sunday lunch which was fabulous and my wife who is vegetarian was really pleased with the choice she had and ate really well. The new potato, leek and chestnut crumble was superb. It was a nice touch that the owner wandered around chatting to guests too. We will come back
