Stunning apart-hotel located in the city center. Beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard. The fridge was stocked with goodies and the chocolate magnums in the freezer was definitely a bonus...
Why book just a room when you can enjoy the space that this place provides. Highly recommend this for business or for pleasure..

Room Tip: Third floor for for the views from the double height windows.

What a stunning apart-hotel in the fantastic old post office, centrally located opposite the train station. The rooms are finished to a very high standard and well sound proofed to the outside world. Couldn't wish for anywhere better to stay. We will be back,.

My wife booked me this apartment as a birthday surprise, which also coincided with a concert at the First Direct Arena. Located on City Square in the heart of the city centre, Residence 6 consists of 23 one and two bedroomed apartments located in the historic grade 2 listed Old Post Office building. Due to the setting if you travel by car you’ll need to park away from the apartment, but there are plentiful secure car parks nearby.

Upon our arrival we were politely welcomed and informed that because the hotel was exceptionally busy we had been upgraded from our chosen one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment. There were no complaints when we saw our mezzanine apartment. It was huge.

After entering the hallway of the apartment, we first accessed a spacious double-height ceiling living area with windows overlooking City Square. This well-appointed room also included a dining area and a modern fully equipped kitchen.

Back into the hallway (which also included a cloakroom) the first bedroom was reached through a second door and included an en suite walk in wet room. Returning to the hallway we climbed 23 stairs to reach bedroom two. This room had a couple of nice features. An internal window provided a view into the living area below. Whilst at the foot of the bed was an opulent looking standalone bath which was lit from above by a Velux window. An additional wet room en suite completed the room.

The kitchen came with some complimentary food: tea /coffee/biscuits, a loaf of bread and in the fridge we found milk, butter, soft drinks, water and a bar of chocolate. There were certainly enough items to rustle up a light breakfast. If you don’t fancy that then there are a number of nearby cafes that can provide a breakfast. Similarly there is a great choice of quality restaurants within walking distance and a number were featured on a list found in the kitchen. The kitchen was very well appointed with a dishwasher, freezer, fridge, microwave and oven. A washing machine was also provided in a cupboard upstairs.

There are a couple of provisos to staying at Residence 6. You must be at least 21 years old (unless accompanied by an adult), and they do not accept stag, hen or group bookings. But these restrictions will not affect most guests and only serve to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We found that even though Residence 6 was located on a busy interchange that overnight traffic noise was the quietest we have experienced in Leeds.

The Residence 6 website claims it is “Officially Leeds' only 5-star city centre property”. Having stayed in a number of four star hotels in Leeds we both agreed that this was far and away the most enjoyable experience we’d had, is an exceptional alternative to a five star hotel and comes highly recommended. Also recommended if you require an extended stay in the city as the apartment was equally well-equipped as a home from home.

Room Tip: If you are able to get a choice, then apartments 12 to 20 on the third floor have clear views of Cit...

Excellent location. Excellent service at any time. Beautiful modern apartments.
Stayed with my wife and 2 young children for 4 nights. They provide a play station, DVDs and wifi access at no extra cost. They even let your takeaway delivery person to your door!

I stay in a serviced apartment in York and am familiar with them. This place takes some beating especially when compared to Malmaison or 42 The Calls.

It is clean, very well appointed and truly has all you need. It is across the road from the station and there are great chain and local restaurants / shops nearby. There is no noise through the secondary glazing.

The bathroom with its shower was a little cosy, especially when compared to the huge kitchen / sitting room. The bedroom was great but oddly one side of the bed had no table as there was a hug, unnecessary wardrobe but a little point.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

These apartments are the best place to stay in the city. Large, clean, modern and much better value than hotels for the same price.
Great location.
Quiet at night to sleep.
A gym inside and the reception staff are excellent.
I am a regular and would not stay anywhere else!
