My girlfriend and I stayed here on a Saturday night, just for one night. Please note that this is our one and only encounter with this hotel, and our review is based soley on this one encouter.

Located in an industrial area of Leeds, but the city centre is easily reached on foot (15 mins), or alternatively there is a bus stop very close by. Check-in was very unwelcoming and akward, zero professionalism. Parking spaces were tight, and scarce. Our room (11) was a decent size, and everything worked, but it was a bit grotty, especially the bathroom, which not only had no lock, it had no stay-shut mechanism! ...Good shower though.

Our room looked out on to the back court yard, a court yard which as it turns out, houses people of which we had very little in common with! They were loud, lairy, and had terminal insomnia. Their 'partying' continued until 5am, most of which took part outside, in the court yard, near our window, and our parked car. Safe to say we got little to no sleep.

We were so happy when we checked out, got to our car, and got out of there.

I don't mean to be harsh to anybody's business, but when there is paint missing off walls, I think 'just give it a quick lick of paint!' Put a latch on the bathroom door, etc etc.

Also, have a word with the 'people' who reside at the other side of the court yard as well, they are not doing you any favours.

Rant over, enjoy your stay.

We stayed here as a party of nine on a hen weekend and had four rooms. All rooms were clean and tidy and the beds comfortable. We were in a room on the top floor looking onto the main road but we hardly heard the traffic at all. The breakfasts were great, and because some of were a little hungover the cook made us a sausage and egg sandwich to take to our room. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Although the hotel is a short distance from the city centre the staff recommended a good taxi company, (Aeroline Taxis) who were very cheap and friendly. The hotel is cheap and cheerful and I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Leeds.

Room Tip: There are a lot of stairs and no lift so if you have mobility problems you may be better with one of...

We stayed here for a weekend in Leeds. The price was great, and we weren't expecting anything fabulous. Our expectations were met. The room was just what we needed: clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable enough and there was an en-suite. Our room looked out onto the main road, but we weren't disturbed by traffic noise at all.
I walked into Leeds and I'd say it was a good 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this on a dark night however, as you pass through some very isolated areas. The Hotel itself is located on a busy dual carriage way in an industrial area of town, so don't expect any inspiring views.
Breakfast was a bonus at around £3 for a basic plate of bacon & eggs.

All in all, I would recommend this hotel with a bunch of caveats: Expect to get a cab to and from town unless you're walking in a group. Expect to have a view of a car park or industrial unit. Expect value for money.

What a surprise! A great little hotel, a little dated but if you forget that, you get a good sized well equipped room with en suite, nice breakfast close to Leeds centre and for only £30. It's a great little place with v friendly staff! My new fav place to stay!

We have just returned from an over night stay and will definately book again. The room was basic but large and very clean, newly decorated with clean bedding etc, The breakfast at £3 is a bargain and the staff very helpful advising us which taxi to use etc.

We stayed at the Brookfield for 2 nights in May, returning after a fairly pleasant stay 2 years previously. Upon entering the building, there was a funny smell but based on the "budget" price tag, we ignored it. We were shown to our rooms and informed by the scruffy-looking member of staff that guests couldnt use the Brookfields wifi so in response to the owners previous statement on a review on here, we too were offered NO FREE WIFI! After much complaining and badgering from our party, said member of staff agreed to give us the code to the Brookfields wifi but that he "shouldn't really be doing this". The rooms themselves did leave alot to be desired after a member of our party found a home-made drugs pipe in her bed. Clearly mortified, this was reported to the owner who insisted they operated a zero tolerance policy on the use of illegal substances on their premises but offered no compensation of any kind. Disgraceful in my opinion. The rooms were basic and relatively clean but after the drugs pipe incident, we all felt a little uneasy in our beds. The one positive I can say about the brookfield is that the breakfast was lovely. Wont be staying again though, very disappointed.
