Myself and my partner stayed here last weekend (Valentine's weekend) and I couldn't fault the hotel at all for the price we paid. It was booked last minute on a popular weekend yet we still only paid £59. The hotel was only a 15 minute from the train station and is only really one straight road, it isn't hard to find at all. The area was next to a dual carriageway but we had no noise problems and the garage next door is 24 hours too.
When entering the hotel we were greeted by a man who was in a tracksuit but friendly enough, we were shown straight to our room which was on the bottom floor. Although the decor was a little old-fashioned the room and bathroom was clean and warm and we loved the size of our room as it was huge. Much bigger than any Travelodge we have stayed in.
I was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews but if you want a cheap, basic but close to the city centre hotel then I suggest staying here. We even left our baggage in the hotel till 5pm on the night as we weren't leaving until late on the night free of charge! We also chose not to have breakfast so can't comment on the food.More
