“Cheap & Cheerful (but practical)”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

Spent 2 nights in this hotel, its name gives it away Ibis BUDGET..having said that the room was clean although small, parking was a short walk away, continental breakfast was good for the price and restaurant immaculate clean. Staff friendly. Excellent for a no frills stay. Only down side was the Sports Bar next door went to go there for breakfast on the second day but there was an awful smell (like drainage / sewer). So went to the pub across the road. (which served a great full English)

I booked to stay at this hotel as I was leaving very early the next morning and the hotel I usually stay at was full, the hotel is clean but lacks the basics ie tea and coffee making facilities, the beds are very small and not very comfortable, the hotel was full and when my friend went to get me another pillow they gave her some towels to put under the pillow.
Would not stay here again

Very good hotel for the price, small rooms and tiny toilet/shower, modern inside and a nice bar/restraunt next door. Located in the centre of leeds which is great. Car park is a bit of a trek away and have to pay a small fee. Would return for the simple fact of the price.

You get what you pay for. Double bed has the sheets on inside out and bunk bed wasn't made. On the second night people were banging on the room door between 2.30am and 3.30am. Breakfast was good for the price.

Having stayed in similar cocoon hotels in France I was delighted that this, so called, budget hotel was way beyond my expectations. The room was amazing with shower and toilet included and not down the corridor as I had expected. There were two large towels which were replaced on my second day. I did feel a cold draught from the window but other friends in the same hotel were actually too hot in their room! My only observation was that the power sockets were not near a mirror so I stood 4 yards away to blow dry my hair and was thankful that I had gas curling tongs which didn't require a lead. I would suggest that the hotel could easily put another mirror near the sockets or, better still, put another socket by the side of the bed near the sink in order to charge phones or tablets whilst you are in bed in order to access them whilst charging.
One reviewer warned that there was no shelf in the shower but mine had two and another said there were not enough towels, but as I mentioned earlier my two were ample.

Being budget there was no lounge but we were able to sit at the dining tables and chat over a cuppa or something more as the range of snack products was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was also a bar next door with meals but was more for football supporters than for a nice conversation.

Being less than a mile from the Arena it was easy enough to walk and taxis ranged from £5 to £7.

All you can eat breakfast for £5 (forget the 5p, they didn't usually have change!) was well worth it. It was not full English but I had more than enough with the choices of cereal, breads and fruit etc. on offer.

I hope to use Ibis Budget much more in the future.

Not thrilled with this hotel... all just seems a bit... weird. Deffo an experience.

Check in was quick and staff were friendly.
I knew the layout of rooms seeing before i booked online. Going with an open mind though and a super tight budget I cant fault it really as it is a good hotel just outside the city centre. Can walk from the train station in about 10 mins.

Not a fan of the shower being in the room, but then again for £30 i cant complain.... it is deffo good value for money. I just cant get my head around not having a proper bathroom, pretty sure i would of liked a shared bathroom now rather than a cupboard for a toilet and a shower in the room. Would stay again if funds were lacking.... to me its just a weird concept.

As its not bang in the city its pretty quiet so road noise and outdoor noise is virtually non existant. Bed was comfy, and pillows were too.
I love the little fairy lights just under the wooden paneling in the room, so cute. Breakfast seemed cheap and reasonable but didnt have any so cant comment on what it was actually like.

Nice little hotel though, clean and nice staff!

Decent job, it's a budget hotel but you get your money's worth. Quick check in, comfy bed, decent shower (hot water may have been a bit hotter I guess) Not ideally located but it's a bed in leeds and does the job. Probably use again
