“Great lunch venue”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

Ate from the a la carte menu and wasn't disappointed. The presentation and standard of food is vastly superior to many more renowned restaurants. The pea mousse was delightful and summery, followed by monkfish wrapped in parma ham. My partner chose scallops and beef fillet, again both looked fantastic. A champagne jelly was a great finish to the meal. Staff are attentive, welcoming and helpful, will definitely try the cocktail menu on my next visit.

“Excellent in many ways”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

I've visited here several times over the years and only once had an average meal - a long time ago, I have to say every time I have been recently it's been excellent. We went with a group of friends last week taking part of the £20 meal deal, being pregnant and vegetarian they bent over backwards to change the goats cheese starter, complementary cheese straws with cream cheese, two rounds of delicious bread, an adapted vegetarian main to avoid the blue cheese and somehow managed to fit in a pudding. The service was excellent, it always is, love this place, good food, good atmosphere, good service, amazing meal on offer for £20-until the end of August, thoroughly recommend it.

“Lunch with best friend”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

Visited the restaurant last Saturday. Excellent experience from beginning to end. Had the al a carte menu, starter main and desert. Each course was fabulous, I had scallops, followed by lamb. We had a dessert followed by a Yorkshire cheese board. The wine selection was good. Only negative would be the service was a little slow, though the restaurant was very busy, so we excused this. Also be aware of the ten percent discretionary service charge on the bill, which is something I don't agree with, I always tip well if the service and food are exceptional. Would recommend the restaurant for a special lunch or dinner as it is quite pricey. They do a three course set menu which is good value at £20

It's one of my favourite restaurants in Leeds.
I went on Friday and the 3 course menu with a cocktail for £20 was very very good value.
Very good service. A must visit
