I've used Browns a few times now and find it ideal for a quick business lunch. Food is ok and decent value. Service pretty good too.

Great choice of cocktails. Staff friendly. Great atmosphere. Very busy on Friday after work all adding to a pleasant ambience.

Decided to have breakfast at Brown's rather than the Hilton.
I was the only client - guess that 8:15 am was too early for many.
Full English, tea and orange juice - a classic combination but opted for poached eggs instead of the usual fried (token gesture to the health conscious). The plate arrived ... the poached eggs were excellent. If I were to make some observations, the plate was not warm, the black pudding was soggy, the orange juice was not freshly squeezed and the staff wore dirty uniforms but the tea was good.

Looked menu online and it sounded lovely but I couldn't find anything I was overly bothered about. We decided to go for drinks after our meal elsewhere. Lots of friendly and efficient staff at the bar, excellent wine and cocktail selection. Good atmosphere for casual drinks or for a romantic night.
