“Great Alfresco”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

This smallish chain is similarly good in most of its guises around the UK. Pretty good food, served by youngish staff who are generally ok.

The Leeds offering has a great outside area opposite the railway station and is good for relaxing and people watching.

“Great service great steak.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

We went on a Friday night, it was heaving at the bar with a large group obviously going to a do! It was very noisy so the staff suggested to go straight to our table upstairs. Although the noise was still there(large open space) it did not effect our meal. We had scallops to start, beautiful, cooked perfectly and served with a delicious sauce. I had the 38 day steak. Fabulous piece of meat and I am fussy about meat. Served on the bone. The only disappointment was the peppered sauce, it was awful, I did mention it and the waitress agreed it wasn't pleasant. I did not wont a different sauce as the steak was so good. My wife had the half ribs, it beat her and she said it was delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly without being over the top. The Irish coffee was also good. For a chain the standard of food was excellent, it is a great building, if a little noisy when full. Not cheap with a bottle of wine but worth it, we will be returning.

“Lunch time menu, brilliant value and wowed by food and servcie all top quality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2014

Visited with my daughter, wanted a reasonable price for Saturday lunch but a better experience than faster food and wow we got it. £15 each for 2 superb courses, really delicious food, neither of us could fault anything in any way. Lovely girl served us, helped with choices, couldn't have asked for better. It is an excellent value lunch time offering with plenty of choice and brilliant quality. Complimentary scrummy bread and extra virgin olive oil to start and fresh simple seasonal food choices to follow. The restaurant was buzzing with people who have obviously already discovered this great lunch time deal.

“Expensive, poor quality”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2014

Have seen this place in leeds and it looks so nice when you pass by, we called in tonight with no booking and really wished we had not, The starters were fine but over priced, my partner had chicken skewers and I had a salad, the mains were a different story, i ordered marinated chicken, which arrived with the skin on Yuk, fatty, yuk, grey and very greasy covered in butter and then olive oil...., the other was a steak sandwich which was paper thin and fatty, these came with a tiny bucket of chips...what a joke, with 1 small bottle of peroni and a bottle of water it came to £59. The only saving grace was the waitress was very efficient.

“Poor main meal”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

Was here for a private function where around 35 people was attending. The starter was great but was a cold started so not really much could go wrong. The main was offered with steak which most on the table opted for this. My order was steak rare but when it came it was dry and cooked medium. It was also full of fat. Another persons steak was ordered for medium but was served well done. If I was paying for this as a meal I would of sent mine back but with it being paid for as part of the function I let this ride. I think this restaurant can not cope with mass orders. Serving staff was very pleasant.
