Description: Found close to the St Thomas & St Edmunds Church in the heart of historic Salisbury, this ASK Italian restaurant has recently gone through an extensive refurbishment. We've created a restaurant with a distinctive new look inspired by modern Italian design. And with the help of our expert friends, including awarding-winning chef Theo Randall, we've created a menu that features a range of simple, classic Italian food and an all Italian wine list.

We visited ASK for a pre-theatre dinner and made a point of asking at 7pm if we would have time to eat a one course meal and leave by 7.45. The very friendly staff said this wouldn't be a problem so we ordered from a very nice looking menu.
At 7.30 we asked if they could tell us where our order was and it came up at around 7.35 which was far from ideal. Of the 4 of us, one enjoyed her meal (2 starters of prawns and some sort of vegetable chips). I had a chicken breast with pasta which was largely tasteless and it was a real case of Hunt the Chicken, definitely not worth paying more than £10 for.
I was very jealous when we met some other friends at the theatre who had been to a Thai restaurant in Fisherton Street and had a great time. I certainly wont go to ASK again, look elsewhere - Salisbury has much better to offer.

This wasn't the first time ive visited this restaurant and like in the past visits the service was fab. Myself and a friend arrived for lunch (at 12.30pm) the male worker even let us pick a table as was really quiet...but by 1.30 it was very busy! So recommend going in early for lunch. The food was amazing they even cooked my friends pasta dish in a white sauce even thou the menu said it would be in a tomato based sauce. Fab service, Fab food and we will be back :-)

Waited for 45 minutes in what was a fairly empty restaurant. Then we were presented with the wrong food, which was then taken away and brought back again. In too much of a hurry to wait a third time...

Decor has improved but service speed hasn't. Fairly quiet at 7.45 on a Wednesday evening and it did busy up after 8. Drinks And starter a bit slow arriving but then half hour wait for pizza and pasta main. Long wait for bill. Staff working hard but not enough of them. Won't return to Ask, not the place it was a couple of years ago - much better to be had in Salisbury.
