I stopped here for an afternoon Sunday dinner. There were 7 mains on the Sunday menu, priced from £8.95 to £10.50; I chose roast pork at £8.95. The meal arrived after a due delay; there was a good portion of meat, well-cooked and a lump of crunchy crackling; roast potatoes were soft but acceptable; accompanying vegetables, in a separate dish, were broccoli, carrots and marrow.

Service was efficient. There were four cask ales on offer; my pint of Caledonian XPA was good.

I have just had lunch here with family from Australia and can't praise the place enough. We walked in on the off chance as the pub oozes character from the outside and doesn't disappoint when your inside. Our Aussie guests loved the place and the whole history about the coach house. They have some great food deals at the moment, I think it was two adult meals for 12 quid. The food was traditional pub food but this place does it that bit better than most. Great presentation and delicious fresh home made food. A couple of us had the burger with onion marmalade and it was a good size portion and delicious. Friendly chatty staff and overall a great warm atmosphere about the place. It won't be our last visit!

This is our favourite pub in Salisbury. The service is always excellent and timely. The menu is varied; although my husband always has the burger which he is never disappointed with! Good inexpensive food in a lovely traditional pub setting. Oh....and we can take our beloved dog in with us!

A really nice and laid back pub that did a delicious Sunday lunch for a really great price! (£10 for 2 courses). We took the dog in with us, who was very welcome and looked after by the owners; there was a water bowl for him to drink from.

The food itself was delicious; none of us in our party had anything bad to say about the meal. We didn't get quite enough vegetables (they were served in a dish in the middle) but when we asked for more the waitress was more than happy to oblige and there wasn't any extra on the bill.

Really glad we found this pub, will be visiting again!
