Quaint street that has many stories to tell - just a short walk from the market square - make sure you watch your feet as its a little uneven in places.

“Lovely old street in centre of Salisbury.”
Reviewed 1 April 2013

Street full of old buildings and nice shops in the centre of Salisbury, just off the market square. Full of character and next to Butcher Row.

“Nice shops if you can get to them.”
Reviewed 26 March 2013

I live about 10 miles form Salisbury and have been shopping there on and off for over 20 years. I'm afraid to say that I will avoid going there until they sort out the traffic problems and the condition of some of their road surfaces as well. The shops are generally OK with all the usual chain stores etc with a number of specialist/niche shops as well. The local authotities seem to have lost the plot about traffic control and flow management making getting into and out of Salisbury very difficult indeed. The parking is expensive, insufficient and inconvienient. The Park and ride has also deteriated. I understand that the Market Square will be pedestrianised this summer and is expected to cause major traffic problems for quite some time. I will go to either Bournemouth or Southampton to shop. They may be a longer drive but they are far more easy to get to. Sorry Salisbury..............

“Inspiring”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

I have sat here previously on a Summers morning (early - before 8) and just observed Salisbury coming to life and found it a reflective point where along the lines of John Betjamin can imagine where the man with the briefcase might be heading to start his day or the Lady with Coffee in hand might be opening up. The Buildings are steeped in History and one is left wondering if those early morning actions have changed over the last one hundred years.

“medieval meets modern”
Reviewed 16 October 2012

Its one of the oldest little streets in Salisbury with old butcher shops next to modern coffee places. Interesting to see the mixture between really old and modern busy street life but easy to imagine how busy it must have been in earlier days.
