Walking up to the cathedral, it feels huge. It's in a brilliant older town, where you can admire the buildings the entire way in. Parking is relatively easy, and the site is handicap accessible and very friendly! Once you enter, there are volunteers? That offer tours for free. The tour is lovely, and well worth waiting a few minutes to go on! There are tombs, the spire, the windows. It's rich in history!
If you're near it, it's worth the stop.

“At Last a Cathedral Visit that Does not Rip You Off”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

My wife and I visited Salisbury Cathedral last weekend and we were very surprised to see that there is NO entry fee.

A donation of £6 something per adults is suggested and I happily paid up that amount.

Take note Lincoln and York.

The cathedral itself is very nice and well worth a visit with many fantastic windows and sculptures to see. They also have an original of the Magna Carta which is a very important historic document in England and indeed the world.

Would recommend this attraction without hesitation

“Just Stunning!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

The outside of the Cathedral is Amazing set in beautiful grounds and surroundings. The inside is breathtaking so much to take in! The kids aged 7 and 16 both enjoyed it looking at the water falling and the strange clock!! The choir was practicing when we where there giving it a beautiful ambiance! We had afternoon tea at the café inside and sat outside overlooking the beautiful courtyard.
