Description: Welcome to The Bridge Inn at Upper Woodford's Facebook page! We are a family run business, with three generations behind the bar and over thirty years experience. We pride ourself in hearty home cooked food and real English ales. Why not pop in and relax in our garden that borders the river Avon. Less than 10 miles from Stonehenge and only 6 miles from Salisbury we are the perfect countryside escape.

Came here with some cycling buddies from outside the area for a pint or two after a ride across to stonehenge. Lager was off at 10pm and they shut the door and turned the lights out on us 10 mins later! not the best welcome, but great pint of Proper Job and good scratchings!

Great selection of drinks, nice and quiet, a river across the road immediately opposite with a beautiful old bridge and fish/swans/ducks. Friendly staff, a great location to pass a leisurely afternoon

We had a nice pub lunch in the garden. Very nice food and great protions. The bakewell tart was amazing although I would have preferred vanilla ice cream with it not strawberry but never mind! I think the food was a little expensive to be honest (dessert was £6.50!) and a greater choice of cider would have been appreciated.

Popped in for a Thursday evening treat with the kids. Lady behind the bar helped us find the menus, which were photocopy lists on clipboards leant up against the bar on the floor. The food looked tasty if you wanted meat, my husband struggled to decide what to have. The only evening, meat/fish free option was vegetarian lasagne and garlic bread. The bar lady explained they did have children’s meals, either sausage and chips, chicken strips and chips or fish fingers and chips. No baked beans or peas but each meal came with a slice of tomato and cucumber as an accompaniment. We politely left.

Went for a family birthday - three generations and we received a warm welcome and great service from Alice.
The Bridge has become our family favourite for meals out and we have always received good service and the food has never let us down. The homemade dishes are particularly to be recommended
The food was varied, interesting and well presented.
Its a lovely location overlooking the river and, in good weather you can sit out and watch the ducks drift by.
