Great accidental find as we were in our MoHo at it base. Fantastic views from the top and very interesting to read the history of the place. Watch weekend parachutists and enjoy the walking

On a hill above Salisbury if its wet and windy in Salisbury its gale force up here!

Very interesting place £2 to park but you get that off the entrance. Not a huge amount to see but a nice hour spent.

run by English Heritage.once the place of Salisbury Cathedral. alot of history including old ruins and fantastic views over Salisbury. history includes the life of Romans,Norman and Saxons. popular for dog walkers around the outer rings. very interesting worth a look.

What a place. History coming out of it from all angles, but oh dear, English Heritage, what are you doing? This place has so much to offer visitors, castle ruins, old cathedral grounds and ruins, rotten borough stories, etc etc. But EH are doing nothing to help a visitor without background knowledge find out about all of this.
Signage is poor/non-existent, shop is small and staff helpful but under-enthused. The walks around the site are fab, and views from the ramparts amazing, but you have to know what you’re looking at to get the most from them. No guided tours that I could find, so come on English Heritage, get improvements going on this site.
