This beautiful house is in the Cathedral Close overlooking the stunning cathedral, surrounded by many other historic properties. The staff are very keen and knowledgeable and happy to engage with visitors and offer additional insights about the house and collection.

Visited today and really enjoyed seeing both the house and garden. Guides in each room were knowledgable and some knew Edward Heath. Rooms are as they were when the house became a Trust. One of the few places I have visited where you can sit on the chairs in the rooms! Garden is a peaceful haven. It is well worth a visit. Truly enjoyable.

As others have said, it is a rewarding visit down memory lane with some quite illuminating items on display. You need time to wander down the garden. The volunteer staff are very helpful and add some knowledge of Heath's long service to the country. Many people will remember him as being so very pro Europe and taking the Uk into the organisation that we find it so difficult to leave.

Came here with my mum and we wondered round the garden which was just lovely. It goes down all the way to the river and with lovely views of the water meadows.
