Description: Boston Tea Party is a small family owned independent café group serving simple well-prepared food & drinks made with great ingredients, skill and love. Ethically sourced, affordable, feel-good & excellent quality - made from scratch onsite everyday by people who care about what they do. BTP Salisbury opened in one of Salisbury’s most historic buildings, the Old George Inn which dates back to 1314. It would be hard to overstate the historical significance & pedigree of this Grade 1 listed building. William Shakespeare is believed to have performed one of his plays in its courtyard, Oliver Cromwell slept here on his way to join the army, Samuel Pepys wrote about the Inn in his diary after a stay & both H G Wells & Charles Dickens made mentioned of it in their writings.

“what an atmosphere!”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

In search for a tea-room we found this one and went upstairs. The furniture and the roons are very special and seems to be from a lot of years ago. We got only tea and it was well prepared.

“Not sure”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

The service is very slow, the loos smell and the place never feels clean. The food, when it comes, is good, and the building is full of character

“Scrumptious goodies!”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

Lovely food, cheerful staff, family friendly. Seating on ground floor, and 2 floors above. Didn't notice a lift.
Not keen on the unisex toilets.

“great cappuccino”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

We tried the cream tea and a very nice and creamy cappuccino however I must say that the tea at Boston tea party in Bath was somewhat superior...seating space was much more comfortable here but the tea & scones were nicer in Bath.

“Awful service”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

All I can say is that I will not be returning. I took my mum here for tea and cake this afternoon and it was not a good experience. The cakes certainly didn't taste as good as they looked but the main problem was the service. I don't think staff were taught manners, very blunt and couldn't be bothered. We were sat downstairs and I went to ask for a glass of water from the counter to be told that water was upstairs in jugs! The sink and glasses were behind her, but that seemed too much to ask. Tables were not cleared, people were clearing their own tables. All in all very disappointing.
