Description: The Cathedral's Refectory Restaurant is open Monday to Saturdays from 9.30Am to 5.30Pm and Sundays from 10.00Am to 5.00Pm (except Christmas Day). This unique glass-roofed area provides a wonderful space in which to relax, meet up with friends and enjoy food and drink, with views of the spire soaring 123m (404 ft) above you. It offers a self-service buffet selection of homemade cakes and pastries throughout the day, Fair-trade coffee, fresh leaf tea, a selection of sandwiches, rolls and panini, afternoon tea - and plenty more besides. Freshly prepared hot lunches and homemade soup are served from midday through until 2.00Pm. 'Early bird' and 'cream tea specials' are available. Families with young children are always welcome at the restaurant, with a "Monster bag" selection menu for younger children. There are also books and a children's play table to help keep youngsters entertained whilst you enjoy your refreshments.

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Salisbury and no visit is complete without at least one visit to this restaurant. With an amazing view of the spire from within the restaurant, excellent food and drink, we would recommend this restaurant to all visitors to this city.

Beautiful place for lunch or a snack. The cakes are baked fresh and the brownies were delicious. Lovely place to sit with the glass ceiling.

Thoroughly enjoyed a good lunch here while visiting the Cathedral. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was plentiful and the choice was wide. Had the homemade soup, a hot pork sandwich which was delicious, and one of their cakes. Delighted with all this and would definitely visit again.

Had the roast pork and asked for some crackling. Pork was okay but crackling just wasn't. Vegetables ranged from warm to cold. They would have been fine if properly kept hot. Cold food looked good so stick to that until they get their act together
