On a cold and grey day it was a treat to pop into this little café about 1.30 pm on Saturday. Two incredibly rich and delicious deserts later my wife and I found ourselves fortified enough to venture into the gold grey Salisbury afternoon once more.

Cracking little pit stop. We enjoyed a lovely coffee and delicious macaroons. Reminded us of our trip to paris a few years back. Delightful and charming staff. Highly recommend.

Its a jem of a place, friendly, welcoming & something rare nowadays, an independent cafe, that does a range of lunches & luxury Desserts, not your production line made ones but handmade with care & expertise.

Whether you like savoury dishes or have a sweet tooth don't leave Salisbury without a visit.

Having read the reviews on Trip Adviser, we made a beeline for this shop in the middle of Salisbury and had the famous Salt Beef Sandwich which has been praised by so many on this site. It did not disappoint us! The bread was soft and warm and the filling of fresh salt beef and salad was beautifully seasonsed with mustard and dressing and the obligatory gherkin. Not an entirely traditional recipe but absolutely delicious. Have one!
The shop is small and has not got many tables and on Saturday it was packed with coffee drinkers (do they know what they are missing?!); but we will certainly be making another trip out from London now we have discovered this gem.

So glad you liked the salt beef. It was one of Colin's customers who suggested that he put salt beef on the menu and after a little experimenting Colin came up with the present format. Everything is hand made, beef prepared and bread made at Colin kitchen. We realise that the shop is small but we try and complement that with quality.
Look forward to seeing you again for another salt beef sandwich.
