Lovely little pub, close to the Cathedral, spacious and has courtyard seating also. Very nice food, served hot and quickly and the portions aren't small either. very spacious and clean. would definitely like to go back.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2014

Lovely looking pub - quite big and spacious, but with more private areas if you want them. Nicely decorated - not tacky or themed. Just good. Good range of drinks, really nice staff and the food is good as well.

“Sawdust and fine ale”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2012

Close by the Cathedral in Salisbury this large pub is a welcome change from the twee pubs we are used to in ancient cities, it's an old pub, with sawdust on the floor, and bowls of free monkey nuts in their shells on the tables, shuck them, eat them, chuck the shells on the floor! The ales on offer are a good mix of the well known and the unusual, have you ever tried black lager, It tastes pretty good!

Food wise the pub specializes in pies, but there are other items, the traditional roast on a Sunday is hearty and affordable... this won't be everyone's idea of pub heaven but it is good value and fun.
