A perfect mix of old and new, it's modern, well kept and unique. The curators and team behind the events and exhibitions are evidently talented, motivated and passionate.

I loved everything, the place itself is perfect for entertainment. The live musc was fantastic, different and really got me dancing. The staff are very friendly and helful. A great location for a day or evening visit. Suggest checking out the programme of events...

Thanks for a great review, and I'm glad you had a good evening. We've got plenty of music events this season, so be sure to come back! Some suggestions: lots of folk (Lau, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman), world music and fusion (Seckou Keita and Catrin Finch, the supper session), and of course all the regular events like Altar Club, free live lunches, Big Band Brunch, and Acoustic Cafe. See you soon!

Thanks for reviewing. We love the building too, and we get to work here everyday! It's good to hear that you appreciate the exhibitions. The next one is "A Thousand Sheep" (from 24th May), an installation made from (you guessed it...) the fleece from a lot of sheep. There will even be a picnic featuring live sheep and various wool related activities on the 1st of June!

I agree with charltonflyer the Salisbury arts centre is a great venue, however if you are looking for a commercial venue this isn't for you it's all very low key and simple just the way it should be, with a small bar and friendly staff, the church itself is a great building with much charm. We need to support venues like this they are far and few between and I believe it is mostly self funded as its own charity. Check out the acoustic cafe evening events and any comedy it really suits the smaller intimate venue also highly recommend altar club three or more great bands each month for a fiver can't really complain! As a Salisbury resident I would say this is the city's best entertainment venue overall

Thanks for your review. Salisbury has a lot of great things happening so it means a lot that you think so much of our venue. It sounds like you enjoy our music programme; we've got a really good range of events coming up (like Sierra Maestra from Cuba and Spiers and Boden, the folk duo behind Bellowhead) so we look forward to seeing you soon!

I have attended three events at Salisbury Arts Centre this year and each visit has been a complete pleasure. The staff at the venue are friendly, events are superbly presented and the atmosphere of the building is quietly charming. For anyone visiting the City, I would absolutely recommend a visit.
