We spent a week at Miller's Barn and thought it was a perfect location to explore Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset. The barn is in a magnificent spot on the bank of the River Avon with Old Sarum literally on the doorstep. It is very quiet is set in the owners grounds. This means they are on hand for anything you need or advice on where to visit.
From Miller's Barn you are within easy reach by car of many great places to visit - we managed to get to Stonehenge, Stourhead, the New Forest, Studland Beach and Longleat.
In the evenings we took the kids down to the river and had a leisurely stroll whiles the children played in the river at the numerous 'dog-dips'. It's possible to walk right into Salisbury but we tended to drive. Salisbury has everything you need in holiday - great restaurants, coffee houses and shops and the Cathedral is magnificent.
The Barn has everything you need - you do have to take care if you are 6'3" like me as the beams need to be carefully negotiated. It's well equipped and has a good layout.
Wifi would be a good addition as although it did encourage me to read more it is always useful to be able get on line to plan your next day.
All in all we would be more than happy to recommend Miller's Barn.
