We went to the Larmer Tree Gardens for a festival. Very family focused and friendly. Great mix of people of all ages. Great venue, easy to park, easy to get around.

Festival was great, and the line up of bands was really good. Great atmosphere and the closing band on Saturday night made the entire day at Larmer Tree entirely memorable.

We went to show other family and friends this delightful garden as have been 3 times before.
Entrance is very cheap as adults are £4 and kids £2.50. Gardeners world pass means free adult so absolute bargain!
Don't expect to be walking around extensive gardens with heavily planted borders; this garden is quirky with fascinating buildings and a couple of sunken ponds and a wooded walk (under the rhododendron canopy great fun).
My only negative was an unfortunate fall down the steps to the pond as there is no handrail. Not their fault and looking at friends map there was a route without steps that I will take if visiting again soon.
I will bring a picnic and lay back in one of their free deckchairs and soak up the peace and quiet (when peacocks are quiet). Would like to visit for festival maybe as site is so unique!
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality at the cafe, great customer focus.
The little cafe serves lovely food but the portions are not huge so don't expect to be stuffed on a ploughman's etc.
The peacocks wondering the grounds (several and with babies) are extremely tame. They come very close and the males were in the mood for display!!
The lovely staff in cafe gave my daughter a peacock belly feather; she stood staring at a male peacock for ages.
The only downside to my

Beautifully kept Garden with peacocks. Lovely coffee and cake My only criticism would be the paths need sign posts and the trees and plants need labels.

These beautiful gardens are set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside. I lived in the area many years ago and have ment to go there many time. So glad I did. I was on a walk with a friend and were thought we would visit. You can't go at the weekend as it's only open on the week. At weekends they have private functions. It's ver secluded and full of Greek style follys and statues. You can also stand with on foot in Wiltshire and one in Dorset. Not quite sure where the Lana tree is but you can see Pole fro there on a clear say and they have lots of beautiful peacocks as well.

My sister got married here and the sun shone. Lovely outdoor venue and plenty of paths for guests to wander round. The peacocks keep you entertained pre ceremony. The indoor area for dining and dancing was lovely and food very good.
