Staying over at Spire House was definitely one of the most satisfying experiences during our visit to Salisbury. The B&B is just 15 to 20 minutes away from the train station by foot and is very easy to find - we just looked for a bright green door at Exeter Street! It's also at an ideal location since it's really close to several local attractions.
The hosts, Lois and John, are two of the friendliest people we've ever met and were extremely enthusiastic in giving us tips about local attractions and restaurants. The room we booked was lovely and warm and offered a great view of the Salisbury Cathedral, which we later visited at Lois' recommendation. Breakfast was also very satisfying; the croissants and pastries were made fresh that morning and the bacon and eggs were very well cooked.
In the end, the only regret we had about the B&B was that our stay was dreadfully short. And that we didn't take a picture with Lois and John or the B&B's iconic green door. But we'll definitely go back there the next time we visit the area, and would not hesitate to recommended this B&B to anyone looking for a great place to stay at Salisbury.More
