i stayed at the above inn on sunday night
sounds like I had the room of jo w previous reviewer
obviously management having a word hasn't filtered through
room was freezing no heating on bearing in mind our weather at the moment it was preset to 18.5 degrees finally room lukewarm at 10.30 bedtime!!! woke up frozen again at 2am to find controller had reset back to 18.5!!!
went to reception at 9pm was unmanned again at 9.30 and 9,45 to try and ask for extra heater.
handsoap dispenser broke in bathroom also.

hotel management wake up heating in a hotel isn't hard 18.5 degs is freezing this time of year
not impressed at all with premier inn after this and will think long and hard about planning a stay at any site

Room Tip: try elsewhere

As usual the Bishop Down Premier Inn was clear, warm and a pleasure to visit at a good price. Recently refurbished, staff were fantastic. Only issue was the quality of the breakfast in table, Table, pretty average.

The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was good.

Unlike other Premier Inns that I have used recently, this hotel has a bath, not just shower.

Reasonable value but disappointing to know that rooms are available at £29 per night (if bought well in advance) when you are paying £79.

We stayed at the Premier Inn at Salisbury on the nights of 6th/7th March.

We have stayed at several Premier Inns throughout the country and the level of service and cleaniness was what we have come to expect. There were really no negatives to report.

A previous reviwer had commented adversely on the distance of the hotel from the centre and the difficulty of getting there by public transport..

There is a Park and Ride about 400 metres from the hotel. This costs £2.50 return and we found this very convenient.

at least 2.6 miles into town bus service poor so walked into town good 45 mins on the way back I found out that a R2 Red bus leaves the Bus Station (Centre of Town) at 2330 £2.30p & goes right by the Hotel friendly Bus Driver dropped me outside the Hotel-Taxies are expensive in Salisbury quoted £8 for the trip when in Salisbury. Good Blues bar Quodos in Town Music on a Monday night Room felt chilly 132 at the back & returned at 2345 Room was at best mild & only plus two outside Just could not be upto complain at the time as I had things to do & I thought the room would get warmer. If I paid the £69 that they do charge I would expect a warmer room & a Shaving point. Stayed on a Sunday night on an early booking £19 deal (ex breakfast). Easy to find on outskirts of Salisbury, but not walkable to town centre. Large room, modern, comfortable with a decent sized TV (37" I think). Dinner and breakfast served in Brewers Fayre pub just outside front of hotel. Nice decor and broken up into 'rooms' so you can have some privacy and it is not noisy. Food was good enough and reasonable value; staff friendly and attentive.

Room Tip: All rooms would be quiet I think as it is on outskirts of town
