When you've got all the worries of elderly parents to ferry about, the last thing you want to have hassle with is checking into your hotel. Once again Premier Inn provided a fast, extremely efficient service from the booking to a spotlessly clean and very quiet room, a lovely breakfast and a cheery farewell. The rooms may be a bit characterless and predictable, but the rates are very good value.

Stopped at this Premier Inn in the run up to Christmas. We booked a family room for ourselves and two young children. We have stayed in several Premier inn's before and new what to expect. We stayed in room 8 on the ground floor. The room itself was a large room with double bed and one single bed. They'd made a second single bed by putting a mattress on the floor. Not as a good a set up as other premier inns where the second bed has been a sofa bed up. The room was clean but very warm.
We found during the night that we were woken several times during night by noise from upstairs and from people in the corridor. The floor boards upstairs creaked anytime someone walked around their room.......very loudly and heavy footed.
Food next door was ok and we had an evening meal and breakfast the following morning there.
Would I stay here again? Possibly. Would ask about family too facilities before booking next time.

Just couldn't fault the service at this Premier Inn, the staff are a real credit to their company, friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfy and we were pleasantly surprised to find they have a bath and shower, not just a shower. A real bonus for bathing our 2 year old grandson!
Breakfast was just amazing value, fresh fruit, porridge, croissants, toast , fruit juice, coffee etc - and this was just the continental, full breakfast option was huge!
The hotel was in full Xmas party mode but amazingly was very , very quiet at night, comfy beds and pillows ensured a great nights sleep.
What a lovely touch as well was Santa in his grotto, the staff making sure all the youngsters were being given the opportunity to see him after breakfast, no charge was made for the gift and our grandson was just thrilled ! I was really impressed and wish other hotels were as generous.
Will certainly be back and would recommend to anyone.

This is a decent Premier Inn. We were in Room 136, which was very quiet and comfortable. Taxis to town and back were slightly more than it suggests on the Premier Inn website - £8 at 8pm and £11 at 11pm. The overall price was still great value compared to the cost of staying in one of the City centre hotels though.

We stayed on 10.12.13 and found the usual friendly check-in, clean, comfortable room and useful facilities next door. The restaurant food was excellent value for money as we used the Meal Deal for evening meal and all you can eat breakfast - enough so that we weren't hungry again until the evening.
Whilst it wasn't a big problem, the smokers are still allowed to congregate near the entrance doors, please stop them doing this, both Premier Inn and the restaurant!!

We must have just been unlucky as the room we were given (102) was better suited to a storage room than a bedroom, being situated at the head of stairs (no lift) where there were three fire doors. Consequently we were disturbed constantly by people coming and going and as my wife is a light sleeper she did not have a good night. Added to this the reception/entrance was below and noise travelled up through the window and floor. Staff did offer the money back guarantee but we were in too much of a rush to complete the forms etc as we were already late for an appointment.

Typical Premier Inn - friendly staff, clean and functional room, located on an edge of town industrial estate. Useless for romance. All the character of a supermarket but a safe bet for a good sleep.

Taxi to Salisbury approx £7.
