I spent a full month in this place.
Since I was in a training session.
Located in the heart of the city and close to the markets, as the alleged location overlooking Cathedral Square.
Old place in nature, and the rooms are very suitable and hygiene.
Workers in the place always thrilled, and provide assistance.
And feel like home.
Living in this place respecting privacy, as they come to rest, recreation and relaxation.
The place where I would choose to stay in it again, when I come back this will inevitably place.

Room Tip: the sin gal en suit room, third floor is very nice to stay at , nice view, spacious and less noise.

Behind the period exterior, Sarum College is clean, modern, and well-maintained throughout. It has the feel of a modern university hall of residence for grown-ups, in that the rooms are small and simple, the dining is refectory style, and the facilities are limited. For example, the single rooms have no bathroom doors, TV, radio, minibar, phone, trouser press, safe, room service etc, but they do have excellent lighting, good wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, and enough storage. Parking is limited but was OK as there was no course on when I visited. The range of breakfast foods was more limited than in a hotel, but there was something for everyone: porridge, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast, toast, tea, coffee, juices etc. The college was quiet and peaceful. Despite its Christian affiliation it is not so overtly Christian in terms of icons, symbols, and pictures as to make those of other faiths or none feel out of place. Its trump card is its location, in Salisbury's beautiful and quiet Cathedral Close, straight out of Barchester Towers. The college itself is just across the green from the cathedral, and some rooms have cathedral views. This also means that guests automatically have a parking place in the close, a valuable benefit, and can explore the small city on foot.

Room Tip: Ask for a cathedral view. You may be lucky if you book early enough.

Great to be back in college! Met fellow students from 2001 for a reunion. Warm welcome as ever from Linda. Single room ensuite very comfortable. Breakfast generous and well cooked - eggs, bacon, tomatoes. Cereal, yogurts, toast. Stayed for lunch self service beautifully cooked cottage pie and roasted veg and cauliflower. Fruit crumble for dessert. Wine available. Set menu but great value.
Located in the Cathedral Close and easy walking to the city.

Location within cathedral close might sound appealing and website suggests an old building but this is a 70s style university hall of residence with very long bleak corridors and grim public areas. Very few rooms, if any have views of the Cathedral, and bathrooms basic and few and far between. En-suites were very expensive and better value if you look elsewhere. Breakfast depressing and resembled a school refectory. A stay best forgotten despite the friendly receptionist.

Room Tip: avoid the cheapest rooms non en-suite. not worth it

Driving through the narrow North Gate and into the cloisters that surround Salisbury Cathedral was an experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was nice and clean, but small. However there were generous common areas we could use. It was neat that we had to beat the curfew and get in before the gates were locked for the night. I didn't mind eating in a refectory but breakfast was basic and very much self serve.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. For future reference, however, please note that there is no curfew here! The gates of the Close are locked at night as they have been since medieval times but we can lend our guests a key so you can come and go as you please after 11pm.

Beautifully located within the town walls and opposite the Cathedral. My single room was quite spacious and immaculately clean. The staff were super friendly and directed me to a lovely old pub at the end of a country stroll for dinner. Breakfast was excellent! Staff let me use the phone when I realised I had left my passport behind at the previous hotel. All in all a wonderful stay!

Clean, well priced and most of all serene and quiet.

A real hidden gem, if only more places charged the modest fee and provided the simple things that matter. IE a clean quiet room. The college itself is a christian college which give sit a very peaceful aura that i enjoyed thoroughly.

As a bonus it feels like you have the whole of the cathedral green as your front garden! Great little secret for those in the know.
